"London Sightseeing" playfully leads to new ideas.

The "Digital Innovation Game" playfully leads to new products, service offerings, or digital business models. It is based on the gamification method in the form of competitive team play. The winning team is determined by the better innovation idea. The game is controlled through a digital, interactive app, using the city map of London as the playing surface.

While navigating through the individual locations on the London City Map, teams receive knowledge impulses and tasks. They must communicate with customers to determine their specific needs. There is an opportunity to seek advice internally or externally from specialists or to take out an Innocoin loan from the game bank.

A game session lasts one to two working days, depending on the tasks. The result at the end of the game is a new, creative digital product/service or a completely new business model.

During the journey through London, teams go through four phases. At the end of the fourth and final phase – which is Station 20 on the London City Map – the final result of intensive teamwork is presented. An expert jury evaluates the presented ideas. The Innocoins earned in each game phase, along with those awarded by the jury, determine the best innovation idea.

The Digital Innovation Game has already been successfully used in tertiary education and in companies.
